The Latin Mass Is Growing
in Alabama!

Wow! It has been about seven years since Summorum Pontificum! Five Traditional Latin Masses are regularly offered each Sunday in our diocese! We are blessed with one parish fully dedicated to the Traditional Latin Mass (Our Lady, Help of Christians – Hunstville), one parish that is shared by a thriving Latin Mass community and a Novus Ordo community (Blessed Sacrament – Birmingham), and one monastery exclusively dedicated to the Traditional Latin Mass (Christ the King – Cullman). That’s almost one Latin Mass parish for every two years since Summorum!

What’s ahead for the next two years?

We are planning some really great events for the rest of this year and 2015. We are also exploring areas and parishes in which we could focus on establishing another Traditional Latin Mass in the long term.

So, this is a call out: If you live anywhere in Alabama, love the Traditional Latin Mass, and have been hoping for one in your area, we want to hear from you. Please email Una Voce (uvna@unavocenorthernalabama.com) with the following information: your name, reliable contact information (phone and/or email), your city or county, your parish, and anything else you would like to share. Please keep in mind that we need to focus on areas with the most interest, so remember to tell your friends and have them email us too!
